A 20kWatt outrunner from http://www.rs-e-motoren.de (read about it in this Danish thread, which in turn is about last weekend's Aspach event in Germany). RS motoren are considered top notch German quality.

Please help me because I can´t imagine what battery does it need. Doing some numbers with 20s battery the current should be 270A :shock: . With 30s would be 180A, but with 111v!!!!

... Voici ce que m'a dit le fabricant sur le stand à Aspach: (this is what the manufacturer told me in his booth/stand in Aspach)
25kw
diam 100mm
longueur aimant 60mm (magnet length)
Masse 2800grs
tension 60V (voltage)
Sur la photo de Ron le controleur visible derriére dans un sachet est un YGE de 150A. (the controller in the picture is a 150A YGE)

20Kw =27CV...

No big thing for a real plane, though...
and.. what about the batt?

guess it's intended for a sailplane with... fuel cell power maybe?
