FUTABA T9ZHP Setup Make sure that any mixing on AU2 is off before calibration.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Calibration setup.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Throttle connects to channel 3
The Auxiliary connects ot AU2 (channel
Select control for AU2=SW(C)
Set the AU2 ATV Rates to 95%
CND-ATV
NORMAL : MODE
AU2 : CHANNEL
100 % : RATE A
100 % : RATE B
Hint: You can observe the AU2 on the SYS-SRV screen [Q-I]
To enter calibration mode, toggle SW(C) between positions 2 and 1 just after the receiver is switched on with the throttle and trim at low and wait 2 sec.
Now you should have a fast flashing green LED. Go to high stick and you should have a yellow LED and then back to low stick(green LED). Flip toggle switch back to position 2 and green LED should go out. (exit at yellow LED if you have a super servo and the TJ pro)You are now calibrated.
----------------------------------------------------------------
SETUP Throttle Jockey on a 3 positions switch.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Select the CND-ATV Menu
Select Channel AU2
With AU2 switch down (position 2), set the ATV to 29 (1200rpm @ 9.3)
With AU2 switch up (position 1), set the ATV to 53 (1500rpm @ 9.3)
AU2 Switch Rotor RPM @ 9.3:1
Up (1) 1500rpm
Middle (0) Disabled
Down (2) 1200rpm
----------------------------------------------------------------
SETUP Throttle Jockey on a 2 positions switch
----------------------------------------------------------------
The throttle connects to channel 3
The Auxiliary connects ot AU2 (channel
Select control for AU2=SW(D) [P-K-L-P-M-H-N]
Set endpoints for switch using AFR to set pos2=OFF, pos1=RPM,
[O-G-B-L-C-H-D-(use F thru M to set end-point-value to
get RPM desired)-N]
Note: ATV minimum setting is 10%, but AFR minimum is 0%. Either
will work, but AFR is used if you need to turn-OFF the Throttle Jockey with a two position switch.
Use the ATV Calculator to convert the AFR setting to RPM
----------------------------------------------------------------
SETUP Throttle Jockey different RPM for each flight mode
----------------------------------------------------------------
Setup as above...
Set Flight modes in the usual way [SW(E) Norm=2, Idle1=0, Idle2=1]
Set endpoints for switch using AFR to set pos2=OFF, pos1=RPM(s),
[O-G-B-L-C-H-D-
(switch to first flight mode with SW(E))-
(use F thru M to set end-point-value to get RPM desired)-
(switch to next flight mode with SW(E))-
(use F thru M to set end-point-value to get RPM desired)-
(switch to next flight mode with SW(E))-
(use F thru M to set end-point-value to get RPM desired)- N]
Hint" You can observe the AU2 on the SYS-SRV screen [Q-I]
The system is now ready for calibration (follow the simple
calibration procedure in the instrucions).
----------------------------------------------------------------
Question- Could the Throttle Jockey be setup to turn itself OFF by Throttle position, and then use a two position switch to set two RPM's?
(i.e., no manual OFF switch)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Setup as in #1 above through calibration.....
Then go back and set AFR for pos2=RPM#2
[O-G-B-L-C-(use F thru M to set end-point-value to
get RPM desired)-N]
