ME LO TEMIA,
Aqui va mi primera pregunta sobre el baby boomerang
He revisado las actualizaciones de la pagina de Alan y viene esta en archivo adjunto.
Elevator Horn update for Baby Boomerang.
If your turbine may be subject to hot starts, it is advisable to change the elevator horn from plastic to a metal horn. The display Baby Boomerang planes have many flights without problems using plastic elevator horns, but safety is paramount when flying any turbine model.
If your Baby Boomerang kit does not contain a metal elevator horn, please contact Boomerang Jets (
boomerangjets@aol.com ) and we will send you
one free of charge.
.
To fit the horn, drill a 3mm (1/8”) or slightly smaller hole through the elevator. A slightly smaller hole will give the bolt more purchase in the wood. Screw the 3mm. bolt supplied through the elevator, pausing just before it has passed right through to coat the last 6 mm (1/4”) of the thread at the head of the bolt with thick Cyano or 5 minute epoxy glue and then screw it fully home so that it is solidly fixed into the wood and cannot rotate once the glue has set. Also drip a small amount of cyano glue around the thread on the horn side for the same reason. Be careful not to clog up the threads which now project. It is not necessary to use a nut if this procedure is followed. When the glue is set, screw on the plastic horn to the height required and trim the bolt to length. This gives a control horn which has proved satisfactory under all conditions for many years.
Creo, que en sintesis dice, cuidadin con las escuadras de mando de plastico que trae el Kit ya que algunas se han roto y recomiendan poner pasadores metalicos.
¿Cual ha sido vuestra experiencia?
Gracias
